Today marks the first anniversary of the arrival of The Longest Walk 2 into Washington D.C.  Much has happened to all those who were a part of that Ceremony.  This blog site has been established to carry on the spirit of the Walk for those that were on the Northern Route.  This is not to say that those on the Southern Route don't matter.  Rather, this space will focus on the shared experiences of those on the Northern Route and the people and communities we interacted with.

In addition, the weeks ahead will see the posting of the questionairres that were given out at the end of the Walk.  As stated at the time, these postings will serve as the Manifesto for the Northern Route.  Over time, it is hoped that the postings will contribute to the continuing struggle to protect Sacred Sites and support Tribal Sovereignty for all Indigenous Peoples.  All Walkers are encouraged to post on this Blog, as well as those from the communities we visited.  Another aim of this blog, besides creating dialog, will be to raise and address issues.  Controversy will not be avoided.  Although foul language might be edited as children will hopefully be a part of this, no substantial edits will take place of peoples posts.  So, happy anniversary.
